It’s so cool to see the next generation of our youth start to join Wildfire. As they begin to learn and grow in their faith, they are given opportunities to stretch themselves and serve alongside others. Last Sunday, there was a Kingdom Kids shepherds meeting after service to gather, pray, and encourage one another. Six of our Wildfires joined us and at the end of the meeting, we did a listening prayer exercise together. As the shepherds and Wildfires grouped up to share and pray over what they got, it felt so normal.
Gabe shared a little bit about LifeSpring’s journey with the Holy Spirit (listen to his message here); and you can read deeper into it in Uncle Perry’s book, Seasons of Change (ask a pastoral team member for a copy!). The summary is that the past generations fought for the Holy Spirit and because they did, it completely shifted what is considered normal for the generations after them, something that I hope you can sense in LifeSpring today. Our kids are learning to hear the voice of God.
None of this would be possible without those who came before us. Each generation pours into the next. They walked, so we could run. Their ceiling has become our floor.
