Dear LifeSpring Family,
What a blessing it was to have Pat Koh preach on “Increase Our Faith in Our Covenant God” this past Sunday.
She suggested we close our eyes and imagine space with a line going through it, representing ourselves as a dot on this line. She also prompted us to see in our mind’s eye, where God was in this picture. This is what I “saw”.
I saw the vastness of space, like the pictures of the Milky Way we see. I saw the never-ending line running through space with no beginning or end in sight. I saw myself as a dot on this line, and I saw the hugeness of God hovering over this space. Then I heard in my mind’s ear God saying, “I see you, Jerry”.
At that moment, I sensed that God wants everyone in LifeSpring to know that He sees each and every one of us individually. That is the covenant He made with Abraham and that is the covenant He has with you and me.
This reminded of Romans 8:15-17 (ESV):
For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.
God is our Abba Father to whom we can cry out as daughters and sons. God sees us and we do not have to fall back into fear.
