It was encouraging to see LifeSpring surround and pray for a member of the church family during our Sunday service who was going through a difficult time in their life, because it directly reflects who we are as a church. LifeSpring is blessed to be a blessing and seeks to have genuine love for God and genuine care for others in the good and the bad. Though it wasn’t a normal occurrence in our service, how the church family chose to respond was an act of genuine care.
This season of Increase Our Faith was never promised to be a comfortable one but one that pushes our faith to new levels. This year will look different for everyone; some of us will face huge challenges and opposition, but knowing that you don’t walk alone, that the church is willing to stand with and pray for you, changes everything.
When I was considering applying for an intern position at LifeSpring a few years ago, I wrestled with it a lot. One of the things that helped me was that despite where I was at that point, there were people praying for me and encouraging me as I went. I could literally feel their prayers. Going forward with the assurance that there were people praying over me gave me confidence despite the many unknowns.
This season can be hard, but please know that you do not walk alone. There are people who are willing to stand with you and to pray and intercede on your behalf. On the other side, if you are able, take some time this week to ask God if there is someone He wants you to check up on or pray for. Walk with those who walk alone.
LifeSpring, you are a safe space. Thank you for the ways you show genuine love for God and genuine care for others!
