On Sunday, we covered a really powerful lesson in Rapha, our Gr 4-6 class at Kingdom Kids, which was “God can do the impossible”. That’s a tall order. Impossible is impossible, right?
One thing I loved about this lesson was that it wasn’t just theory. We (mostly Joe Chong) brought the kids into service to hear Amanda’s testimony about her journey to pregnancy. I shared about my experience getting into university and Joe shared about a seriously/terminally ill kid with no hope for recovery that got prayed for and was healed. It was really special to show the kids what God can do.
A lot of times, we face things that seem or are impossible. We don’t know if God really will make things happen, and it can be stressful and scary. However, there are times where God makes the impossible happen, and all we can say is “Wow. That was God.”
As we go through life with our impossibles, take a minute to take those impossibles to God in prayer. We may be waiting for them for a long time, like Steve and Amanda. We may not know why some impossibles happen and some don’t. In the midst of all this, God is faithful and He is with us.
But those who trust in the Lord will receive new strength. They will fly as high as eagles. They will run and not get tired. They will walk and not grow weak.
