Can God Trust You?

Can God Trust You?

We get tested many times in our lives. Whether you have had good or bad experiences with them in school, tests are helpful in gauging your understanding of various subjects throughout life. God tests us too. Unlike the hypothetical situation where a guy buys 100 watermelons and you have to figure out how many seats there are in the car, God doesn’t just ask us if we think we would do something. Instead, he puts us in situations where we can show him that we are willing to do it.

God did not test Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego by asking them if they would be faithful through extreme situations, but tested them by putting them in a situation that directly challenged their faith. Through the fire, God saw that they were faithful and trusted him even to death. There is a difference when you only hear someone say they will do something and when you see them doing it.

God tests us to challenge our habits and our way of thinking. Humans are naturally wired to try to make good decisions and plans that we are confident in, but when we don’t let God have the final say, it can become an issue. God tests our priorities in life and trust in him by challenging what we think is best with what He knows is best.

Can we trust God? And can God trust you?
