What does it take to be a true witness?

It is essentially sharing what Jesus has done to change your life for good!

Evangelism can be sharing your testimony, sharing the Gospel, living a life of love towards unbelievers, and praying for those whom He puts in your path! God will do the rest – speaking to their hearts and convicting them of their sins and the need for forgiveness, as well as the joy of salvation through Jesus Christ. We are merely to share the Gospel freely to all – not to convince or manipulate anyone to accept it!

In Matthew 16:26, Jesus declared that one soul is of greater worth than the whole world. This is what we believe in, and it is with a passion for the Lord that we ask Him to give us divine opportunities to share the love of God on a regular basis with those who may not know Him.

As of January 2010, TLCF embarked on a new approach to evangelism using the Alpha course! This course involves inviting friends, neighbors or colleagues to a home where they can watch a DVD gospel presentation in an atmosphere of love and acceptance for one another. The course is conducted in two regions – one in the east-end of Toronto, led by Jonathan Koh, and the other in the west-end (Mississauga) led by Joseph Wee.

What is Alpha?

Alpha is an opportunity to explore the meaning of life in a relaxed, friendly setting. The Alpha course includes ten meals and an amazing weekend getaway that comes halfway through the 10-week course. The group meets once per week.

At each session, people enjoy great food, laughter and learning in a fun and friendly atmosphere where no question about life and God is seen as too simple or too hostile. Questions such as: Is there a God? Why am I here? Where did I come from? Where am I going? are discussed.

Who is Alpha for?

Alpha is for anyone and everyone – anyone who thinks there may be more to life than what he or she is experiencing now.

People attend from all backgrounds, religions and viewpoints. They come to investigate questions around the existence of God, the purpose of life, the afterlife, the claims of Jesus and more. Some people are looking for a relationship with God that really changes life. Others come for the close, long-lasting friendships that are built during the Alpha course. Everyone is welcome!
